G-A Wins KVA
25 to 6 Victory Over Richland Nets Crown
By Steve Carpenter

The G-A Rams clinched the KVA championship by tromping Richland 25-6 at home on October 30.
G-A drew first blood on a 5yd. run by Fred Doerfer. The pass for extra point was incomplete.
It seemed as if this would be all the scoring in the half but with less than 30 seconds to play Luedecking hit Bill Howland with a pass on the Rams 45 yard line; Howland lateralled to Pechota, who sprinted the rest of the way for the TD. The conversion attempt was wide.
On the last play of the half Richard Eldred hit Dave Wilson with a pass which traveled 49 yards in the air. Wilson took it on the run at the 15 but he was stopped inside the 10 by three Trojan defenders.
In the third quarter Doerfer set up the second Ram touchdown on a 78 yard dash. Mazur scored from the 3. Another pass for extra point was not completed.
Dan Vaughn sewed up the game in the fourth quarter by plunging 3 yards for a touchdown and running 30 yards with an intercepted pass for another. Wilson caught a pass from Bill Maskill for the only successful p.a.t. of the evening
Richland's offensive attack was lead by Bob Luedecking, Bill Pechota, Bill Sprague and Bill Howland. Defensive leaders were Ron Hale, Jack Gesmundo, John Evans and Bill Howland.

G-A, who still leads the league in defense and has a shot at the offensive scoring lead next week against Mattawan, was headed by Fred Doerfer, Dan Vaughn, Ken Mazur, Dave Wilson, Jim Brininstool and Mike Kaminski on offense, Greg Forster, Steve Smith, Ted Webster, Mike Roberts, Leonard Gross and Fred Mills pushed the defense squad.

Line Score:

We come to the end of one of the wildest seasons in the history of the KVA. Usually the teams finish; 7-0, 6-1, 5-2, 4-3, etc. But, at the end of the season only one team reigned supreme, us, of course. The rest of the league was in a mad scramble, with three teams trying for third place!!!
